Hi guys! I feel like I showed up at a party late...couldn't figure out when I would know that my email address was confirmed and decided to just try posting anyway. I'm Robyn, and I'm the author of 3 forthcoming books for teens. My first, Better Than Yesterday, is a novel about four top students at an elite boarding school summer session and the reason why they run away to Manhattan. That one's out in the beginning of January from Delacorte, which isn't so far away! My second, The Social Climber's Guide To High School, is a nonfiction guide to high school, and is out this summer from Simon Pulse. And my third, which I'm working on now (i.e. won't be out for a year), is a novel called The Ivy Legacy, about a college freshman who is tapped for a notorious all female secret society, witnesses the theft of a campus relic, and unknowingy falls for the head of the rival all male secret society. Basically (non fiction aside), I write stories about teenage overachievers who are forced to reevaluate everything they know based on an unexpected circumstance of their lives. I'm also slightly obsessed with the college admissions process, having had to apply three different years as an undergrad (really). Nice to meet you.

This is great. I'm looking forward to meeting you all on this blog. I'll try to answer all your questions.

At the moment I'm working on the fourth book in the Jimmy Coates series - action thrillers in the young spy genre.

Jimmy Coates: Assassin? is the first in the series and it's only just been released in the US in paperback, published by HarperCollins.

Hi everyone,

I write the Jimmy Coates Series - action thrillers that are great for fans of Young Bond, Anthony Horowitz, or just people who love a gripping story.

The first book in the series is called 'Jimmy Coates: Assassin?' - in the US it's just out this month in paperback from HarperCollins.

I'm delighted to say it's picked up some great reviews and, here in the UK, some awards too. Look out for Jimmy Coates: Target, coming to the US in March.

I'm Sylvia Engdahl, and I'm the author of six science fiction novels for teens, first published the 1970s but reissued in new updated editions in the 21st century. If you're not a science fiction fan, don't let that put you off -- people who don't read other science fiction often tell me they like mine. The newest one to be republished is JOURNEY BETWEEN WORLDS, which is about the colonization of Mars -- but it's about ordinary people, not astronuats, and it's mainly a love story. So if you like romance, I think you will enjoy it.

I'll be happy to answer any questions you have about my books.

Hello there. I'm YASMIN SHIRAZ (rhymes with pizazz!) Anyway, I've written three books for teens. My first two books, The Blueprint for My Girls: How to Build A Life Full of Courage, Determination & Self-Love and The Blueprint for My Girls in Love: 99 Rules for Dating Relationships and Intimacy. Those two books deal with self-esteem, navigating your life and KEEPING IT REAL!! I mean REALLY! My third book is actually a workbook and it's called The Blueprint Guide to Success & Motivation. All of my teen books are taken from my diary entries when I was a teen. I share my HURTFUL, EMBARRASSING, HAPPY, CRAZY moments in my books so the reader can see that my life USED TO BE JACKED UP, but I've survived!!! And so can you!

Hey everyone! Caridad Ferrer checking in. My first book, Adiós to My Old Life, came out from MTV Books (Yeah, THAT MTVB *g*) in July and so far, everyone seems to be enjoying it. My second book, It's Not About the Accent, will be out next August. Since I'm Cuban-American and grew up in Miami, I tend to use a lot of those experiences in writing my stories, but at the same time, I think they're super relatable to everyone.

I'm thrilled to be participating in Teen Week here for the Rapid City Public Library. Any questions you've got, feel free to shoot them my way. *waves hi at Jo and E.*

Hi Teen Readers (and authors)!
So glad to be participating in the week and the blog. Teen Read Week is particularly well-timed for me this year, since my first original hardcover, EMILY GOLDBERG LEARNS TO SALSA, will be out from Penguin/Razorbill in November. I hope you have a chance to check it out, and please stop by my website and drop me a line!

Hello Rapid City!
I'm E. Lockhart, and I wrote The Boyfriend List, Fly on the Wall -- and The Boy Book, which is just in stores now.

You can <a href="http://www.theboyfriendlist.com/e_lockhart/book_excerpts_the_boy_book/index.html" rel="nofollow">preview clip of my new novel, here</A>, or just check out <a href="http://www.theboyfriendlist.com" rel="nofollow">my website for more news on my books,</A> including sample chapters, audio clips, Q&As, a blog and ridiculous quizzes.

I write comedies that I take very seriously. My favorite YA books (at the moment!) are
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
Wide Awake by David Levithan
A Great & Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Rhymes with Witches by Lauren Myracle

I'd love to know what you guys are reading and liking right now.

Thanks for having me on the Teen Read Week blog! And I'm glad to answer questions or tell you more about particular stories I've written.

I'm going to try to insert a book jacket picture, below -- but if it looks like a bunch of gobbledygook, forgive me!

If you like dragons, magic, sword-fighting and fairies, I think you'll enjoy my novels. I hope you'll stop by and ask us authors some questions! We love to hear from you!
